How to Choose the Best Web Design Company in Dubai

Dubai has hundreds of web design companies, and most will tell you they are the best one. This guide is not a ranked list of agencies. It is the questions we think you should ask any company you are considering, including us, before you sign anything: who owns your code, what the quote actually covers, and whether the site will be found by Google and by AI assistants.

Start with what you actually need

"Best" depends on what the site needs to do. A five-page site for a clinic is a different job from an online store with a hundred products, and both are different from a site that needs to rank for competitive search terms. Before you talk to anyone, write down:

A company that asks about these things before quoting a price is doing it properly. A company that gives you a number in the first message, without asking anything, usually has not thought about your job at all.

Questions to ask before you pay anything

Who owns the code and the domain when the project is done? This is the single most important question and the one most owners forget to ask. Some agencies build your site on their own accounts or platforms, which means if you ever want to leave, you cannot take the site with you. Ask directly: will the domain be registered in my name, and will I own the full source code and hosting account?

What is included in the price, and what costs extra later? Get a written breakdown: design, build, number of revision rounds, hosting setup, and what happens after launch. Many quotes look cheap because ongoing hosting, updates, or "extra" pages are billed separately later.

Can I see real, live sites they built, not just screenshots? Screenshots can be mockups that were never finished or launched. Ask for working links you can open on your own phone, and check that the sites still exist and still work.

How do they handle being found in Google, not just looking good? A site can be beautifully designed and still be invisible in search results if the structure underneath is wrong (slow pages, missing page titles, no clear content structure). Ask what they do for on-page SEO as a standard part of the build, not as a separate expensive add-on.

Do they build with AI search in mind, not just Google? This is newer and most agencies have not caught up. People increasingly ask AI assistants like ChatGPT or Gemini for recommendations instead of typing into Google. A site built with clear, well-structured content is easier for those AI tools to read and mention. Ask whether this is something they think about at all.

Who will actually do the work? Some agencies sell you on senior staff in the sales call, then hand the build to whoever is free. Ask who will be building your site and whether that is the same person or team you are talking to now.

What happens if something breaks after launch? Ask about support terms in writing: response time, what is covered, and what costs extra.

How to judge a quote that seems too cheap, or too expensive

A very low quote usually means one of three things: a template with no customization, no real design or planning phase, or a low price now with costly "extras" added later. A very high quote is not automatically better; sometimes it reflects a bigger agency's overhead, not better work for your specific site. Compare quotes line by line, not just the total number, and make sure every quote covers the same scope so you are actually comparing like for like.

Red flags worth walking away from

What a good process usually looks like

  1. A conversation about what you actually need, not an immediate price
  2. A clear written quote with what is included and what is not
  3. A build phase where you can see progress and give feedback
  4. A launch with your domain and hosting under your own control
  5. Clear terms for support and changes after launch

How we approach it

We are a Dubai-based studio, not a single freelancer, and we build on the same checklist above: you own your domain and code, our quotes are written and itemized, and on-page SEO is part of the build, not an extra. We have built real, live projects you can check yourself, including ONOSONIC's ecommerce store and apps, The Annexe Project's tuition site in Singapore, the AI Smile Scan web app, and Story Academy. We also build with AI search in mind, since that is where more buyers are starting to look.

If you want to compare us against a quote you already have, or you are starting from scratch, see our web design in Dubai page for what a build with us includes, or talk to us directly on WhatsApp or the contact form.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a website cost in Dubai?

It depends heavily on scope: a simple informational site costs far less than an ecommerce store or a site with custom features. Ask any agency for a written, itemized quote rather than a single number.

How long does a website project usually take?

This varies by scope and how quickly feedback is given during the build. Ask any agency you are considering for a realistic timeline in writing.

Do I need to own my own domain name?

Yes. Always register your domain in your own name and account, even if an agency offers to handle it for you. This protects you if you ever switch providers.

Is a cheaper website always a worse website?

Not always, but it is worth asking what is missing from a low price: design time, revisions, SEO structure, or ownership of the code are common cuts.

What is the difference between a website that ranks in Google and one that doesn't?

Mostly structure: clear page titles, fast loading, organized content, and technical basics done correctly from the start, not bolted on afterward.
